New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Monday nabbed a person for allegedly selling sex toys in a shop in central Delhi’s Palika Bazar.
After receiving a complaint regarding the sale of prohibited items, Delhi Police laid down a trap to nab the accused for allegedly selling sex toys. Acting on information available, a Delhi police constable posed as a customer and purchased an item from the alleged seller on Sunday evening.
Later, a case was registered against the accused person at Connaught Place police station under Section 292(2) (sale of obscene material) of IPC and the accused was later arrested, said a senior police officer.
Police also seized two battery-operated male sex toys from the shop of the accused, said the officer.
A few years back in 2013, the same case was registered with the police where they had nabbed a 40-year-old man for selling sex toys from Delhi’s Palika Bazar.
