A complaint in this matter of the sexual harassment case was sent to Police Commissioner Alok Kumar Verma in April

New Delhi: More than 24 policewomen have accused an inspector rank officer of sexual harassment at workplace. The officer posted in Provisioning and Logistics unit of Delhi Police at Civil Lines.

One of the 24 woman cops revealed that the accused inspector used to call her and asked her to meet him in private and when she refused to meet him, he harassed her at work. Later the police woman filed a complaint against the inspector.

The set of complaints against the police inspector are in large numbers but still there has been no action against him. There are a several complaints against the accused for disobeying his superiors.  The inspector is accused of mocking his female colleague’s skin colour and style of walking. The complainants also said that the inspector threatened them on learning about their complaint to the police HQ, and boasted he was as influential as the DCP.

A complaint in this matter of the sexual harassment case was sent to Police Commissioner Alok Kumar Verma in April and he forwarded it to the sexual harassment committee led by a joint commissioner-rank officer. Sources say a probe is on.
