Asha calls out to CM Nitish Kumar to “wake up”, “rectify” his mistake and take action against criminals out on bail

New Delhi: Soon after the image of wanted shooter Mohammad Kaif and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Mohammad Shahabuddin surfaced on Tuesday, wife of the murdered journalist Rajdev Ranjan demanded that the persons involved in her husband’s murder case should be arrested and questioned by the police.

Widow Asha called out to the state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to “wake up”, “rectify” his mistake and take action against criminals out on bail.

“Four months have passed but Nitish ji didn't even try to know the situation of the family that is suffering,” she said.

An image has surfaced on the internet where Kaif is seen standing beside RJD’s Shahabuddin.

On May 14, Rajdev Ranjan, a journalist and the bureau chief of the Hindi daily Hindustan, was shot dead in Bihar's Siwan district.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushil Modi had met the deceased journalist, Rajdev Ranjan’s family. At that time he had said, “The culprits can be the powerful people behind bars and Bihar government lacks the courage to take any action against such people.”
