New Delhi: After Shivpal Singh Yadav replaced the Uttar Pradesh CM, Akhilesh Yadav, as the state party president of Samajwadi Party (SP), the UP CM withdrew important portfolios from his uncle and current state party president Shivpal Singh Yadav.
In an official statement which was sent to Raj Bhawan and was later approved by the UP governor, Ram Naik, UP CM took away the key ministries from his uncle that included key ministries of Revenue; PWD, Irrigation & Flood Control; and Cooperatives Minister.
The move which is basically seen as a strike back by the UP CM who had been under the slew of decisions by the party chief, in which he was not consulted.
The younger brother of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal Yadav, can be seen completely powerless as Akhilesh Yadav has kept the PWD portfolio with himself, while Avdhesh Prasad has been given the charge of Irrigation and Flood Control department and Balram Yadav additional charge of Revenue and many other departments, currently being held by Shivpal Yadav thus, bringing down the number of ministries held by him from ten to just two. However, Shivpal Yadav held these plump portfolios when the SP was in power.
Shivpal Yadav was reportedly in disagreement with his nephew on a number of issues, Akhilesh Yadav, after the removal of his close aide Deepak Singhal as Chief Secretary earlier on Tuesday.
