New Delhi: In a bizarre incident from Delhi, two brothers have been arrested for allegedly thrashing policemen in outer Delhi's north Rohini. The incident took place when the two police constables tried to stop the two brothers from creating a nuisance after getting drunk in their car in North Rohini area.
Two constables, both named Ashok, were on night patrol when they saw Lalit (29) and Sachin (23) drinking alcohol inside their car parked on the road. “They were heard shouting near Sector 6 in Rohini around 1.45 am yesterday,” said a senior police officer.
When the two brothers were asked to behave by the police constables, the agitated brothers got out of their car and thrashed the constables tearing their uniforms. However, one of the constables managed to make a call to the North Rohini police station after which extra force was sent and the brothers were arrested
Further disclosing the matter, a police officer said that the accused Lalit and Sachin work as property dealer and was too drunk to realise what they were doing. Later, a case had been registered against the two accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty)
