New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's odyssey into Uttar Pradesh by holding Khaat Sabha is running into a familiar problem: people running away with the cots.

On Wednesday, when the scion addressed the people of Mirzapur through a Khaat Sabha, the end was familiar to what happened in Deoria and Ambedkar Nagar. When Rahul's address to the gathering was over, people scurried everywhere to take home cots that were specifically used for the Sabha.

Despite being told not to do so, the stampede over the Khaat was uncontrollable. Some were even agitated and disappointed that they could not get any Khaat for themselves or their families.

Rahul Gandhi is venturing on a 2,500 km-long Kisan Yatra through Uttar Pradesh where he will be focusing on garnering more support for the Congress Party before the elections next year.
