New Delhi: Police officials in Bihar displayed a shockingly insensitive gesture towards the departed when they dragged a corpse by its neck from the river in Vaishali district.
Villagers in Vaishali reported to the police about a corpse floating in the Ganges river following which, officials in the neighborhood, along with one local man, fished the dead body out of the water and tied a rope around the corpse's neck.
Then, the three men proceeded to drag up the corpse by its neck towards the shore while villagers who had gathered there remained mute spectators.
Insensitivity towards people is not a new phenomenon. Earlier this month, a woman was made to wait outside of a district hospital after authorities refused her an ambulance.
