Bihar University likely to cancel AAP leader Jitendra Singh Tomar’s law degree

New Delhi: The TM Bhagalpur University (TMBU) in Bihar will initiate a move soon to cancel Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi law minister Jitendra Singh Tomar's fake law degree.

The university has decided to place a proposal for the cancelation of Tomar's degree before the examination board next week, a university official said on the basis of anonymity.

Once the proposal is approved by the board, the matter would be sent to the chancellor.

Action will also be taken against the university employees for issuing a fake degree certificate to the AAP minister.

Tomar had claimed that he had been a student of Vishwanath Singh Institute of Legal Studies (VNSILS), Munger, which is under TMBU, between 1994 and 1998 and got his law degree from the same in 2012.
