Patna: Bihar government files an appeal in the Supreme Court and has challenged the Patna High Court order granting bail to former RJD MP Shahabuddin.

Criminal-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin was released from jail after 11 years and returned home to Siwan on 10th September, the former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party member did not resist from sharing his displeasure with the Nitish government in the state.

Shahabuddin was serving his jail term for the murder of Rajiv Raushan. After walking free, Shahabuddin said he was framed and it was court that jailed him and has now released him as well.

Shahabuddin was found guilty for kidnapping of brothers Girish Raj and Satish Raj and then murdering them. His son Osama was charged for the killing of BJP leader Rajiv Raushan, who was a prime witness in the case.
