New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid a visit to his mother Heeraben Modi in Gandhinagar to seek her blessings on the occasion of his 66th birthday.
Modi arrived in Ahmedabad on Friday night to a rousing welcome by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, his predecessor Anandiben Patel and BJP supporters.
Huge celebrations have been planned across the nation to mark Modi’s birthday. A Surat-based bakery has prepared a birthday cake for Modi aiming for Guinness World Record as the tallest pyramid cake ever made.

Modi will also visit tribal district of Dahod on Saturday to inaugurate various irrigation projects. This is Modi’s third visit in recent times to Gujarat, where Assembly elections will be held next year.
