New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy, who had relentless criticised RBI governor Raghuram Rajan prior to his departure, continued firing salvo when he said in a statement that he was a better Finance Minister than Arun Jaitley.
Asked about the antagonism between him and Jaitley, the BJP leader said, ""I am an economist. He is a lawyer. How can he be better than me?"
At India Today Mind Rocks Summit, Swamy was asked whether he would make a better Finance Minister than Arun Jaitley who is currently holding the office.
When Swamy was asked about whether BJP had directed him to restrain himself, the leader said, "There is no gag order on me. Your problem is that you talk to Jaitley a lot."
Swamy's scathing attack against Arun Jaitley came after AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi said that inflation would've been checked if Swamy was holding the office of Finance Minister.
