Haryana: The Haryana Gau Seva Ayog has proposed a “cow university” to conduct research on the domestic animal, its urine, milk and dung, a Times of India report said.
Bhani Ram Mangla, Haryana Gau Seva Ayog chairman on Sunday told TOI that he would be meeting Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday or Tuesday to discuss the proposal.
With 500 acres of land in need to build the university, the Haryana Gau Seva Ayog chairman said he will look for a village panchayat willing to offer land.
“Will look for a village panchayat willing to offer land for the university,” Mangla said.
The proposed university will deal with the issues related only to cows and is expected to boost the production of cow milk and create job opportunities for the unemployed youth.
“We want to conduct research on urine and dung of the cow,” he said, adding that he wants the university to be able to offer diploma courses.
