Chennai: A 30-year-old man was killed and ten others were injured after a law student who was allegedly drunk rammed his Porsche into ten auto rickshaws on the Cathedral Road in Chennai in the wee hours of Monday.
V Vikas, a student and a resident of T Nagar and his friend Charan Kumar were returning from a party when the incident happened. The duo escaped unhurt.
"The duo in the car was not injured because of the air bag popped out," said police personnel.
Vikas is the son of Supreme Court lawyer Vijay Anand and was drunk when the accident happened.
Two auto rickshaw drivers Arumugam and Varadhan suffered serious injuries and were admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Medical College Hospital, where Arumugam succumbed to his injuries.

Both Vikas and Charan have been arrested by the police.
