Presently, viral fever is gripping Delhi. City’s hospitals are flooded by the influx of thousands of patients suffering from fever specially ‘mosquito borne chikungunya & dengue.’ Both chikungunya and dengue are not only affecting individuals but affecting entire families.
It is in this crisis situation that both private as well as public hospitals are stating the shortage of beds and manpower in their hospitals. However, private clinics are taking full advantage of the situation with the hiked up prices for the tests.
NewsX in its investigation found that the Mobile Fever Clinic vans flagged by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation provide services weekly and that too not more than 3-4 hours per day.
Moreover, residents are angry that when the city is battling this epidemic situation none of the state ministers including the CM Arvind Kejriwal is in the national capital.
