New Delhi: The Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) on Tuesday registered an FIR against the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Malliwal under Prevention of Corruption Act over alleged irregularities in appointment of DCW staffs.
A team of ACB officials had questioned the DCW chief on Monday in connection with the illegal recruitments in the women’s panel.
The ACB had sent a notice last week to Swati Maliwal informing her that she would be questioned on September 19.
The FIR has been filed after a complaint by former DCW chief Barkha Shukla Singh.
In her complaint, Singh had said that many AAP supporters were given post in the women’s panel “without requisite credentials”.
