Odisha: In another unfortunate incident, a kin of a tribal woman, who had died at the Jajpur district hospital, was forced to take her body in a trolley-rickshaw due to lack of transport facilities.
Victims Kin, who carried body of the woman in a trolley-rickshaw, said, "No transport facility was available. Private services asked Rs 12000, so had no option but to take the body in trolley-rickshaw to village."
Responding to the issue, ADMO Jajpur Shibashis Maharana said, "Four to five people were with the deceased person but no one asked for transport facility."
A couple of weeks ago in Odisha, a man was forced to walk approximately for 6 kilometres carrying his daughter’s body, as the ambulance carrying the girl allegedly refuse to transport them after coming to know that the girl had died.
