New Delhi: Alleged shooter Mohammad Kaif aka Bunty, who has been accused in the murder of journalist Rajdev Ranjan in Siwan, surrendered before Siwan court in an extortion case on Wednesday. The Siwan Court has sent him to 14 days judicial custody.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had issued a warrant against Kaif, a day he was spotted with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Mohammad Shahabuddin.
The nation was taken aback after an image surfaced showing Kaif standing with notorious RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin.
Widow of the slain journalist Rajdev Ranjan demanded justice in the murder of her husband and called out to the state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take action against criminals.
Meanwhile, Kaif claimed that he is not a criminal saying that he had a ‘brotherly’ relation with the slain journalist Rajdev Ranjan.
