New Delhi: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday admitted that deadly Uri attacks could have taken place due to security lapses.
“Something may have gone wrong there. It is a sensitive matter. I believe in zero error,” said the Defence Minister.
Parrikar also added that steps would be taken to prevent such incidences in future.
“As a nation should ensure this is not repeated again and again. I will take steps to ensure it doesn’t go wrong again,” he said.
18 soldiers were killed when terrorists stormed into an army base camp in Uri, J&K on Sunday morning.
