New Delhi: Agitated over being booked by the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) in connection with alleged irregularities in women’s panel recruitment, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal on Thursday targeted the central government and alleged that it’s a prominent minister from the ruling PM Modi’s government who is behind one of the biggest prostitution rackets in New Delhi’s GB Road area.
While addressing the press, DCW Chief, Maliwal alleged that the prostitution racket which is taking place just a few kilometres away from the Parliament has been operational for years and the daily business of prostitution in GB Road amounts to up to at least Rs 5 crore.
Maliwal alleged that girls as young as 8 to 10 were being exploited and sold for exorbitant prices. They were often made to sleep with at least 30 persons every night and the price of a child was the highest on the ‘first’ night.
The AAP leader further claimed the she was in possession of reliable information that the racket was running with the support of a Union Minister along with an ‘important Delhi-based leader of a national party’ under whose backing this flesh trade business has been running.

DCW’s Swati Maliwal further claimed that she was trying to find out the real people behind the prostitution racket when an FIR was slapped against her. “I was about to end the probe and track down the real culprits when fake FIRs were registered against me”, she added.
While addressing the media, DCW Chief Maliwal also said “I’m receiving threat messages that the Central government will have me arrested and removed from my post through the office of the LG, but I clearly want to tell them that even if I get removed from my post, my fight against prostitution will never end”.
