New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital after suffering from fever and dehydration on Thursday.
The 68-year-old AIADMK chief was stable and under doctor’s observation, said a statement released by Apollo Hospitals.
Jayalalithaa, who recently completed four months as CM in her second term, reportedly worked from home indicating signs of her bad health conditions. In recent times, she was also seen seated during public meetings.
Earlier, opposition party leaders have sought clarifications about her health.
Last month, the Supreme Court had asked the Tamil Nadu government to face criticism while hearing a plea by DMDK chief Vijayakant. The apex court said she should exercise maximum restraint while slapping defamation suits.
