Patient with broken hand served food on floor

New Delhi: The poor standards of government hospitals all across the nation haven't been left unknown to any citizen but still, every time an epidemic breaks out a new incapability hits the headlines.

In a grief struck incident being reported from Jharkhand, Ranchi, has proven that the 'human nature' of the government hospitals has gone way below par. According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, a patient, Palmati Devi, who was admitted in the Orthopaedic ward with a broken hand, was made to eat food served to her on the hospital floor.

This after the kitchen staff of the hospital refused the request of the poor woman who did not have a plate, to give her one.

The overcrowded wards, broken beds, unhygienic bathrooms and ignorant doctors have come to become a reality of  government hospitals.
