Two Maoist militants were killed in an encounter in Dantewada

New Delhi: Security forces in Chhattisgarh killed two Maoist militants in an encounter in Dantewada district on Saturday.

Cache of weapons including one 315 rifle and one SBML rifle were recovered from the slain rebels.

Recently, there were reports of unrest in the Maoist occupied regions in Chhattisgarh.

Days ago, five rebels including a commander, who are natives of Korsaguda village of Basaguda were arrested in Bijapur. The arrested Maoists were involved in the December 6, 2013, killing of journalist Sai Reddy in Basaguda village.
