New Delhi: Special Task Force made a breakthrough on the Burdwan blast case on Monday when they arrested six Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen terrorists from Dispur in Assam.

Out of the arrested six terrorists, five are wanted by the National Investigative Agency (NIA) for direct involvement in the blast.

The task force had been following the movement of the Bangladeshi terrorist outfit for a while.

On 2 October 2014 an explosion occurred in a house in the Khagragarh locality of Burdwan. Two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists were killed and a third injured. The police seized 55 improvised explosive devices, RDX, wrist watch dials and SIM cards.

Terrorists recently attacked Indian Army base in Uri, Kashmir where 18 soldiers were killed.
