New Delhi: During a meeting with Water ministry officials on the Indus Water treaty, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said ‘blood & water can’t flow together at the same time’. The Indus treaty meet was attended by National security advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar, Water Resources Secretary, and senior PMO officials.

The meeting comes a week after 19 soldiers of Indian army were killed in a terrorist attack at the Uri army base in Jammu and Kashmir.
India had blamed Pakistan for the attack, which led to escalation of tensions between the two nations.
