New Delhi: A youth was arrested along with his two friends by police for allegedly murdering her mother and sister in Manesar, Haryana.
The accused was later identified as Sumit Kumar, who along with his two friends Pradeep Kumar and Dharamveer killed his 38-year-old mother and 16-year-old sister by firing gun shots at them after strangling the two in Manesar.
As per police reports, Sumit had objected to his mother's alleged prostitution business which she was operating from the house in Najafgarh area.
Further disclosing the matter, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sumit Kuhar said, "Sumit along with his friends planned to eliminate his sister and mother after he came to know that his sister was also involved in prostitution. Two country-made pistols and cartridges were seized from the car used in the commission of crime", he added.
While interrogating the accused, Sumit, he revealed that he persuaded his mother and sister to visit a religious place in Rajasthan and took them to Manesar along with his two friends on September 18. On the night of crime at around 11.30 PM they reached Manesar near auto stand in a car and shot his mother and sister at point-blank range, police said. He further added that his mother had allegedly killed his father Jaiprakash in 2000.
The accused were arrested after a tip-off was received by Palam Vihar Crime Branch unit that some suspects involved in crime were coming at Manesar on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway 8.
