Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar's comment stating that the ban on Pakistani actors from India was not the solution to curb terrorism has not been received well by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
As it was imminently expected, on Monday MNS staged protest outside the residence of Karan Johar protesting his comment which they deemed as support towards Pakistan. Protestors raised pictures of Nawaz Sharif.
Security has been tightened outside Karan Johar's residence.

Pakistan was accused by India for the Uri incidence where 18 Indian soldiers were killed. Days after the attack, the MNS in Mumbai had called for a ban on all Pakistani actors from Bollywood.
Earlier, a Pakistani actor in Britain's famous soap opera was sacked after he tweeted out that Pakistani actors should stop working in India and called Indians 'bastards'.
