New Delhi: In a gruesome incident being reported from Pune, a man thrashed a mother and also banged her 20-year-old animal lover daughter’s head against the wall breaking a tooth in Mahatma Society, Kothrud, Pune.
The accused was later identified as the husband of an IAS officer.
As per the sub-inspector of Kothrud police station, Vikram Rajput, said, "The suspect and the complainant are from the same housing complex; also he has been booked under sections 354 and 325 of the IPC."
The incident took place when a dog in their complex had delivered puppies but had died soon after, the victimized mother and daughter took care of the stray puppies. The agitated suspect used to harass them whenever the puppies use to litter the premises by pooping.
Annoyed by the litter, the suspect called the dog catchers of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to take away the puppies. But, the student and her mother objected the action and said that the puppies were too small.
"Furious by the protest, the suspect started using abusive language against the student and her mother. He even beat them with hands," Rajput said.
Senior inspector of the Kothrud police station Nitin Bhosale Patil said, "We have launched a manhunt for the suspect and will soon arrest him."
