Peter’s lawyer files application to object framing of charges as CBI is yet to complete its probe in the case

New Delhi: A special court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of all the 3 accused Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and Sanjeev Khanna in Sheena Bora murder case till October 5, 2016.

Peter Mukherjea's lawyer has filed application to object framing of charges as the Central Bureau of Investigation is yet to complete its investigation in the case. The order on the application of the former television executive will be at 5pm.

Last month, a set of 20 recorded clips of telephone conversation between Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and Rahul Mukerjea had surfaced.

In one of the conversations, Rahul is heard expressing his concern about the disappearance of Sheena as she is not in contact with anyone. The clips suggest clear attempt of Peter Mukerjea in covering up the murder.

Earlier, Shyamvar Rai, the accused-turned-approver claimed that Indrani had strangulated her daughter inside the car on April 24, 2012.
