New Delhi: Pathankot was put on high alert after some suspicious looking men were spotted in city. The locals informed the Punjab police and a massive search was launched in the area.

“Got vague information about the movement of some suspicious people with arms; didn’t take chance and immediately launched massive search op,” said Pathankot SSP Rakesh Kaushal.

Around 400 security personnel were deployed to conduct the search operation by the Punjab police in the district where the terrorists had attacked the IAF airbase in January.

Police have found an abandoned Army fatigue, cap and belt, India Today reported.
