New Delhi: The Supreme Court may hear plea seeking the cancellation of bail given to Criminal-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin on Wednesday (today).
Earlier, the hearing on cancellation of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) member Shahabuddin bail, which was scheduled to take on September 26, was adjourned after criminal lawyer Ram Jethmalani, representing Shahabuddin asked for more time to study the case.
Activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan and Bihar state government had challenged the bail given to Shahabuddin by the Patna High Court.
Mohammad Shahabuddin has more than 58 cases pending under his name. He is also accused in the sensational murder of Siwan journalist Rajdev Ranjan.
