Sonia Gandhi appreciates Indian Army

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday appreciated the Indian Army and described the surgical attack taken up the by the Indian Army to the strike the terrorists across the Line of Control (LoC) as a "strong message that conveys our country's resolve to prevent further infiltration and attacks on our security forces and our people."
In a statement that was released ahead of the all party meeting Sonia said that her party’s supports the government of India headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi "actions today to protect our country's security and deal with the menace of terrorism from across the border."
The Congress president was briefed the details on the surgical attack that took place at the LoC by EAM Sushma Swaraj.
Lt. General Ranbir Singh, DGMO, addressed the media in the national capital on Thursday and revealed that the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan occupied Kashmir inflicting significant damage to the terrorist infrastructure across the border.
 Lt. General Ranbir Singh, DGMO, said, "I spoke to the Pak DGMO, shared our concerns and told him that we conducted surgical strikes last night". “The motive of this operation was to hit out at the terrorists who were planning to infiltrate into our territory”.
