New Delhi: On Thursday evening Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar Palasa Passenger   DMU train rammed into a stationary goods train on Kathajodi Bridge between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

As per reports, the passenger train hit the goods train from the rear. Some eyewitnesses said the accident happen due to signal failure. After the accident, train services on the route have been affected.

Two people died in the accident and 30 others sustained severe injuries. The critically injured passengers have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital where their condition is said to be critical

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor SC Jamir expressed their concerns over the accident. Accident relief and medical equipment vans along with ODRAF team have been rushed to the spot for rescue operations.
