New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being lauded with appreciations after successfully carrying out a counter-offensive against Pakistan after the Uri attack — among the fray of congratulators is Congress scion and vice President Rahul Gandhi.

While speaking at a function on Friday, the Congress vice President said, "I want to thank him (PM Modi) that for the first time in 2 and half years he has taken an action that is of the stature of PM."

Even prominent critique of the Modi government, AAP's Arvind Kejriwal, has lauded the government on taking a tough stance against Pakistan.

On Thursday, Indian Army carried out a surgical strike across the LoC where they succeeded in incapacitating more than 30 Indian soldiers.
