Coimbatore: Four crude bombs were allegedly hurled near a mosque in Podanur in south Coimbatore on Friday.
According to The Hindu, two of the explosives fell on the houses close to the Sunnath Jamath Masjid and the other two fell on the houses of Riyaz Suleiman and Meeran Kutty, some 30m away from the mosque.
However, there was no report of loss to life or property.
The locals said that woke up to a loud noise and found what looked like petrol filled bottles connected with wicks.
Police immediately reached the spot, following the incident.
