Singh registers an FIR with Antop Hill police station after he received a death threat letter

New Delhi: Maharashtra’s Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Sardar Tara Singh reportedly received an extortion letter demanding a sum of Rs 1 crore.

Singh has registered an FIR with Antop Hill police station after he received a death threat letter in his office.

According to reports, a woman staffer at his office found the letter addressed to the MLA.

Antop Hill Police have started an investigation into the matter and are checking CCTV footage of Singh's office. An offence under section 384 (extortion) has been registered against an unknown person.

The letter appeared to have been sent by some insider, said the police.
