New Delhi: In a horrific incident being reported from Gurugram, a three-and-a half year old girl child was sexually assaulted by one of the temporary school staff of a reputable private school, making it the second such incident in the city within last six months.
On September 26, the Lancers student, after returning home, complained to her mother about an extreme pain in her private area. With the previous incident fresh in mother's memory, the mother physically examined her daughter and also questioned her about the cause of her pain. The child revealed that an uncle in her school had taken her to a private spot near a restroom and touched her inappropriately.
The mother of the victim filed a complaint with the police on Thursday after she came to know about the tragedy. The girl is the student of private school in DLF Phase V named, Lancers International School.
After the incident came into knowledge of the victim's mother, she immediately took the daughter to the school where a 32-year-old house-keeping supervisor, Yogesh Kumar, was identified as the wrongdoer.
The 32-year-old who is reportedly from Ferozabad district in Uttar Pradesh was later sent to the police custody by the school authorities. While the matter was being investigated, it was revealed that the Kumar was a temporary employee at the school and had joined just two days back.
Further disclosing the matter, an officer at Sushant Lok police station said, "On the basis of complaint filed by the child's mother, a case had been registered against the accused on Wednesday evening itself." Also a statement was issued by the Lancers International, spokesperson saying, "The school administration is extending all possible support to the family."
