Haryana: A woman on Tuesday morning gave birth in a three-wheeler after no ambulance arrived at her residence to take her to the hospital.

Renu Saket and her husband Bihari Lal Saket said that despite making calls to ‘102’ ambulance helpline number, no vehicle arrived at their house.

“We called up ambulance helpline number ‘102’ twice but they got only assurances that the ambulance will reach in sometime,” Bihari Lal Saket said.

After two hours of waiting, Bihari Lal decided to take her wife to the hospital in a three-wheeler.

While they were on their way, Renu developed severe labour pain and delivered the baby in the vehicle.

The couple was three kilometres away from the hospital when Renu gave birth to a child.
