New Delhi: The Joint Commissioner of Police JCP (South), Delhi on Tuesday asked Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to hand over all documents relating to Kochi Tuskers to Enforcement Directorate in the Sunanda Pushkar death case.
The EOW was roped in to probe financial irregularities pertaining to Kochi Tuskers. The agency was probing the shareholding pattern of the former IPL team.
The police were probing the financial angle into the murder of Sunanda Pushkar of whether she was killed due to IPL-related issues. The investigation led them to the money trail of her investments during the IPL in 2010.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was also quizzed about his alleged Dubai connection which surfaced in 2010.
51-year-old Sunanda was found dead at a hotel on January 17, 2014. The autopsy report concluded that the cause of death was poisoning. Empty Alprax tablets (27 tablets) were found near her body.
