Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Wednesday protested against the Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam over his comments on ‘surgical strikes.’

Holding placards and banners, the BJP workers shouted slogans against Sanjay Nirupam and demanded action against him.

The Congress leader had on Tuesday said that the country wants surgical strikes and not fake strikes.

“We want surgical strikes, but not a fake one for political benefit,” the leader had said.

Aam Aadmi Party had also hinted at making the recording of the surgical strike, as claimed by the government, public.

"I appeal to the prime minister: Unmask Pakistan's false propaganda like the way you (Modi) and the army taught Pakistan a lesson on the ground," Kejriwal said. "Unmask Pakistan's baseless attempt to damage the reputation of India on the global forum," AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal had said.

On the night of September 28, Indian forces launched surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) eliminating at least 38 terrorists and at least seven terror launch pads.
