Srinagar: Pakistan on Wednesday evening violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani and Mendhar sectors of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

As per current reports, Indian troops are strongly retaliating to the ceasefire, however, no causalities have been reported so far.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan had violated ceasefire violation in the Kalsian village of Naushera sector in J&K's Rajouri district. Police said Pakistan used 120mm and 82mm mortar shells to target Indian positions in Kalsian (Nowshera) sector of the LoC.
"The Indian army effectively retaliated Pakistan shelling and firing. After appropriate response from the Indian side, Pakistan army had stopped shelling now," the police said.
Ceasefire violations from the other side of the international border have intensified ever since Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the LoC to bust terrorist hideouts.
