New Delhi: Civilian death toll amidst the unrest in Kashmir has crossed 90 after a 13-year-old Srinagar boy who was injured during a clash succumbed to his injury on Saturday.
The deceased, Junaid Ahmad Bhat, was a resident of Saidpora locality in Srinagar city who sustained a firearm injury during a clash on Friday. He was immediately taken to SKIMS (She-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura).
Police confirmed on Saturday that Bhat passed away early morning.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had repeatedly asked the US to intervene in Kashmir, an allegation which has been refuted by India after Balochistan sprang into national spotlight.
Kashmir is witnessing violent unrests after the death of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani who was killed in an Indian Army encounter. Since then, unrest has been seething in the region which led to the imposition of curfew.
