New Delhi: Days after an infiltration bid by terrorists at Naugam sector in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir was foiled, the Indian Army on Saturday said that recoveries of the operation confirmed there was a Pakistani connection.
A source from Northern Command, Indian Army said, “Pakistani ordinance factory markings on hand grenades, UBGL grenades recovered from the terrorists confirm Pak complicity in abetting and equipping terror.”

The army added that Pakistan origin markings were also seen on the medicines and from eatable items recovered.
On October 6, four terrorists were eliminated by the Indian Army at the Line of Control while trying to infiltrate in Naugam. As per defence sources, alert troops of the Army challenged a group of heavily armed intruding terrorists in Tumwali Bechak area and overpowered them.
