National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Saturday expressed concern over cross-border shelling

New Delhi: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Saturday expressed concern over cross-border shelling in Jammu and Kashmir. 
 
Former J&K CM also appealed India and Pakistan to take effective measures to restore peace at the border. 
 
"We appeal India and Pakistan leadership for taking effective and urgent measures for restoration of peace along the Line of Control and International Borders in Jammu and Kashmir," he said in a statement. 
 
Abdullah also expressed unhappiness  over injuries to several people in border areas and wished speedy recovery to the  victims.
