New Delhi: Looks like our national capital, Delhi is soon to become the capital of pollution as well. In an alarming report, the pollution in Delhi has risen up four-times.
Despite continuous efforts by the Delhi government to lower down the pollution by various plans such as odd-even, there has been a 4-fold rise in the pollution level.
This jump in the pollution level has taken place in just 38 days between September 1 and October 8. The Air Quality Index (AQI) value of Delhi was 259 in the ‘poor range’ on Saturday.
Rising pollution will be a worrisome problem, especially for children and elderly, and those with respiratory problems.
