Shiv Anant Tayal, a 2012 batch IAS officer was transferred to the State Secretariat

Chhattisgarh: An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, who was posted as CEO, zila panchayat in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh has been removed by the state government, after he raised questions on Deendayal Upadhyaya in his Facebook post.
Shiv Anant Tayal, a 2012 batch IAS officer was transferred to the State Secretariat.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is celebrating the birth centenary of Deendayal Upadhyaya, who served as the leader of Bharatiya Janata Sangh from 1953-1968.
In his post, which he posted on Friday, Tayal raised some questions on Deendayal Upadhyay’s life and achievements. He wrote:
“Following the centenary celebrations of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay, did a bit of digging up on the aforementioned’s achievements and… 1. Can’t find a single work of his authorship or scholarship to gauge his ideological stance. There is sporadic mention of his four lectures on ‘integral humanism’ in Mumbai (Apr’ 65) which seems to be based on established ideas and on triggering popular sentiments. 2. Can’t find a single election where he won by popular vote. 3. Can’t find anything concrete on his website either. 4. Doesn’t find a mention in Ram Guha’s Makers of Modern India, in spite of detailed writeups on stalwarts and founding fathers of RSS. For the sake of academic curiosity (and of course while maintaining political neutrality) if someone could shed some light on Pt Upadhyay’s life and achievements…?” (sic)
A senior official of the state government said that the government is going to issue a show-cause notice to Tayal regarding the same.
However, Tayal later took down the post and also offered an apology in another Facebook post:

Transfer of IAS

It is intolerance of state authority. I respect Deen Dayal Upadhyay as I had opportunity to hear him as I am old, he is young and tried to find about him but could not get , then he posted that if any body in his group can provide him something about Deen Dayal Upadhyay , instead of providing him he has been shifted and state govt is ready to serve him a show cause notice, I condemn action of state govt and appeal to top brass of BJP to intervene and stop these bulling activities of state govt. Otherwise even a BJP supporter like me and many others may think that something wrong is creeping in BJP
