FIR has been lodged against parents of 13-year-old girl Aradhana who died after observing a fast for 68 days

Hyderabad: A first Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against parents of  13-year-old girl Aradhana who died after observing a fast for 68 days as per Jain rituals. 
 
The FIR against the girl's parents was lodged at the Monda Police Station after a complaint by Balala Hukkula Sangham president Achuta Rao, who alleged that she was forced to undergo a fast by her parents to bring good luck to the family. 
 
The class 8 student's  had died of cardiac arrest after observing a 68-day-fast. Her death has sent shock waves across the country, with child rights activists demanding an action against those responsible for her unfortunate demise.
