Aam Aadmi’s thali costs Rs 12000 as Kejriwal throws lavish buffet

New Delhi: To celebrate the second anniversary of his tenure of office, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal threw a lavish party where the cost of single plate was Rs 12000.
Kejriwal’s buffet cost which amounted to Rs 12000 per plate is expensive even than the buffet of Prime Minister and Presidential ceremony.
Delhi CM chose the most expensive caterers in the city, Taj Palace hotel to serve the buffet.

As per rules, the maximum amount allowed to be spent on official buffet menu should not exceed Rs 2500/ plate. For hosting government dinners, even the five-star hotels like Le Meridien and Ashoka charge somewhere between Rs 2500-3000.
The two parties were organised by the CM on February 11 and 12 at his residence, where AAP MLAs, ministers and party supporters were invited, and the arrangements of which were made by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC).
Exceeding the limit which is set at Rs 4.5lakh, the bill for the lunch on two days came for around whopping Rs 11.04 lakhs. AAP later asked for some discount from Taj hotel, after which the bill was settled for around Rs 9.9 lakh.
