Bengaluru: When our elders ask to be cautious about strangers, they are not wrong. Especially, with the growing trend n online shopping. Random people coming at your doorstep to deliver your ordered products, is a routine thing now.
A recent incident of online shopping will send chills down your spine, where a delivery boy tried to sexually harass the woman at whose residence he had gone to deliver the product.
An Iranian national (23), residing in an apartment in Vittal Nagar in Kumaraswamy, South Bengaluru, became a victim of sexual harassment, when Abu Salman (18), while delivering the parcel, unzipped his trousers and tried to ‘flash’ at her.
The man handed over the parcel to the victim, who went inside to get the cash. When she returned, she found his trousers unzipped and it is then, when the man grabbed her hand and tried to abuse her sexually.
It is when the girl started screaming in panic, that she grabbed the attention of her neighbours who then caught hold of Salman, beat him black and blue and handed him over to the police.
The girl is staying in India on a student visa and studies in a private college in Bengaluru. Salman is presently behind bars at Parapanna Agrahara Central Jail.
