New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal is furious, just a day after beginning his campaign in Gujarat, mainly because of a poster showing him alongside notorious individuals like Osama Bin Laden, Burhan Wani and Hafiz Saeed.
The poster which read "Heroes of Pakistan", shows an askance Arvind Kejriwal tucked in between Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani who was killed in Kashmir, 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden and co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hafiz Saeed.
Kejriwal sprang into a target for nationalists all over the country after he raised questions about the authenticity of the surgical strikes which were carried out by India as a retaliatory measure against Pakistan after the Uri attack.
AAP immediately removed all the posters and blamed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state.
"This is not my rally but it is of the people of Gujarat. If they disrupt the rally, they will be playing with their sentiments... I hope they would not do that," Kejriwal told reporters at the Surat airport.
The posters were circulated and displayed in Unjha, Gujarat where the Delhi CM will be meeting families of those killed during the Patel agitation.
