NSG has been allocated at many important positions across the country to ensure the safety and security of the country.

New Delhi: As the festive season is in full flow, there were reports that major cities of India are under threat of terrorist attacks. Terror organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, on the footsteps of Islamic State (IS), can target major cities in India during the festival bustle.

Sources have told NewsX that terrorist organisations can carry out 'lone wolf' attacks. The security forces considering this have marked 80 big cities which are under potential threat and are leaving no stone unturned to counter any such threat.

NSG has been allocated at many important positions across the country to ensure the safety and security of the country. Many Quick Response Teams have also been formed from the various security forces and kept on standby to ensure spontaneous response.

As 75% of the NSG force is allocated in various party of the country the commando drill and the anti-hijack demonstration on NSG foundation day on December 16 has been cancelled.

All preventive measure by the men of the security forces who wear their heart on the sleeves are taken to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of the nation.
